Bout of Books 20 Wrap Up

Bout of BooksBout of Books 20 was a week long readathon that finished last Sunday. Here's my sign up post for more information about the readathon itself. This post is just to wrap up how I did during the week and which books I read.

Overall I managed to read 1,782 pages, which I'm proud of. I might have gotten more reading done but I guess I got a little bit tired during the weekend and my reading pace slowed considerably. I still read tons of more than on normal week.

Here's the numbers for pages I read per day
Day 1; 309 pages
Day 2; 317 pages
Day 3; 335 pages
Day 4; 284 pages
Day 5; 243 pages
Day 6; 165 pages
Day 7; 129 pages

And here's the books I read
Plus Illuminae, which I sadly had to return to library before the readathon was finished. On my Kindle I read Chasing Destiny.

The graphic novels, Murder on the Orient Express & Stalking Darkness were the only one I read from the beginning to end.

Luck In The Shadows I finished (last 100 pages), Illuminae I finished by reading last 400 pages, and I begun reading Traitor's Moon (around 160 pages) and Chasing Destiny (around 80 pages).

COYER Weekly Wrap Up #6-9

COYER
I've been way too lazy the last few weeks to do proper weekly wrap ups. Also, I have barely finished one book per week. However, I'm not too upset about that because I've been reading long books lately - A Conjuring of Light had 666 pages, and I'm on middle of Illuminae (which has 599 pages) and almost done with Luck In The Shadows (which has almost 500 pages with small font). I'm just happy that I'm tackling the bigger books and loving them so much at the moment!

Next week I'm taking part of Bout of Books 20 readathon, so I'm likely to read tons (at least I hope so!)

Here's what I read and reviewed;

Bout of Books 20 Read-A-Thon Sign Up

Bout of BooksI participated Bout of Books round 17 this time last year, and I really liked how relaxed and fun the readathon was! I definitely don't want to miss it this year, especially since the timing is impeccable as university don't start until September so I don't have any stress and required reading on that front - I get to focus on pleasure reading all I want! If you haven't heard about this readathon, here's what it's about:

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 21st and runs through Sunday, August 27th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 20 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team

As always, my TBR is not set in stone and it's just mainly to indicate what books I'd like to read next week. Here we go;

And if I'm not finished with my current reads before this week ends, then I'll most likely finish them off first;

Stacking the Shelves (63)

Stacking The Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews, and is all about sharing the book you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!

Wrapping the Month: July

What's greater way to start new month than taking a look at previous one?

July wasn't a bad month reading or blogging wise, but it also wasn't as productive as I hoped for. However, I had a great month because of YALC, and meeting all the authors, other bloggers and bookish people. It was so much fun and exciting, and all the books. And of course, the bookstores of London. And I managed to write quite a few reviews and other posts so overall, I'm quite happy.

I got a few eARCs, most exciting of them was Circe by Madeline Miller who wrote one of my all time favourite books, The Song of Achilles. I can't wait to read Circe! I also went to London and YALC so I got so many physical books - I think this might be one of the biggest monthly hauls I've had, and I'm so excited to dive into these!

July's reviews:
Oversight (5 stars)
Tied to Trouble (3 stars)
The Lost Hero (4 stars)
House of Cards (5 stars)

July was a good reading month even if I read only five books. I actually read around 500 pages of A Conjuring of Light but didn't finish it within the month so it'll count for August. Anyway, I read plenty and I'm happy that I'm on track with my reading goals for this year.

August will be the last month of holidays so I'm hoping to read lots while I still have a chance - especially since I don't have any trips planned.

Hugs,
Henna
